LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor has been awarded the Retail Week Tech and eCommerce – “Digital Customer Experience of the Year” sponsored by Amazon Payments.
This award recognises the entire service and the overall digital experience provided to patients, in Online Doctor’s bid to become a market leader in providing an innovative and seamless service and the ultimate shopping experience.
The team were up against tough competition including Argos, Asda, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer and are extremely proud of their achievement. This award is great recognition for the LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor service and all the hard work put in by the team.
The challenge was to create one single journey that was seamless, fast, and safe for the patient. A key aim was to provide access for hard-to-reach patients and to open up a discrete digital channel for those who may be reluctant to discuss personal healthcare issues, such as erectile dysfunction or sexual health with their local GP.
In addition to its 1,800 pharmacies, LloydsPharmacy patients can access an Online Doctor service providing 24/7 access to medical advice and prescription medications. This service is available across multiple devices and can be used completely at the convenience of the patient.
The collaboration between the LloydsPharmacy Marketing team and the Online Doctor team has created an omni-channel experience which empowers patients to manage their health in the way that suits them; they have the choice of speaking to a healthcare professional in-person at one of our pharmacies, or having their prescription medication posted directly to them.
LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor has seen significant success and has treated over 1 million registered patients with over 200,000 patients receiving treatment or advice each year.
