Sandra Robertson, Pharmacy Manager at LloydsPharmacy was recognised for her commitment to working in partnership with Macduff and Macduff Medical Practice at the glamourous pharmacy awards ceremony held in The Crowne Plaza, Glasgow.
Alongside her managerial role, Sandra has been running an asthma clinic at the centre for almost eight years. She undertook her prescribing course with the medical centre and on completion researched into collaborative working amongst a range of healthcare professionals. The task directed her to the real difference effective partnerships could make to a patient’s pharmaceutical care and their overall wellbeing.
Thomas Arnott, Area Manager at LloydsPharmacy commented, “Through the work Sandra undertakes as part of public health initiatives she has been able to offer support and advice to a number of patients who will also visit her within the pharmacy environment.
“She is very enthusiastic and keen to highlight the role pharmacy can play in the health of patients.”
Adrian Maginnis, Managing Director of Medical Communications 2015 Ltd said, “The work carried out in Scottish pharmacy is recognised throughout the UK – and further afield – for its progressive and forward-looking agenda and I hope this has been fully reflected in this year’s awards.’
The Partnership Working, GP Surgery and Pharmacist/Pharmacy Practice of the Year Award was sponsored by Pharmacy Life.
