Double celebrations for Celesio UK with two teams shortlisted for Personnel Today Awards

Celesio UK is proud to have been shortlisted in two categories at the Personnel Today Awards 2014, celebrating the work of our Human Resources and Colleague Communications and Engagement teams based at the Celesio UK Support Centre in Coventry.

The annual Personnel Today Awards recognise the best accomplishments by employee services teams across all UK organisations in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Categories cover topics including HR impact, learning and development and managing change.

The UK Human Resources team has been shortlisted for the HR Impact award for the implementation of MyPad, the personal performance and development tool used by colleagues in the UK.  The Colleague Communications and Engagement team has been shortlisted within the Employer Branding category, for the UK ‘We Believe…’ campaign and employer brand and value proposition work.

Spearheading the awards are Joanne Attenborough, Head of HR, and Ella Myles, Head of the Colleague Communications and Engagement team at Celesio UK. Commenting on the accolade, Joanne Attenborough, said: “Both Ella and I are thrilled to have been shortlisted for these prestigious awards and would like to thank our teams and all of our UK colleagues who are working hard to adapt to these new tools within the business. It is their commitment that means we have been able to show to the judging panel that we are making an impact, and we are looking forward to meeting other professionals in the industry at the awards event in November.”

Shortlisted teams have been invited to the Shortlist Party on 9 September as an opportunity to celebrate their success, ahead of the awards ceremony on 18 November.

Personnel Today editor, Rob Moss, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Awards night – it’s fantastic to see such a diverse range of organisations represented on the shortlist.”

The Personnel Today Awards are organised by Personnel Today – a leading HR publication in the UK that reaches the top human resources and personnel professionals and covers personnel and human resources related news, changes in law and events. The 2013 overall winner of the Personnel Today Awards in the UK was Barclays.
