Leading healthcare services provider, Celesio UK has appointed Matt Poole as its new Digital Director. Matt joined the business on 18 January 2017 in a newly created role that reports directly into sales and marketing director, Nigel Swift.
As Digital Director, Matt will oversee all of Celesio UK’s digital and ecommerce activities. This includes managing and growing the online capabilities of LloydsPharmacy, leading wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals, and all Celesio UK brands.
Matt Poole joins from Boots where he spent over three years leading their digital development. During his time at Boots he successfully developed and enhanced the firm’s omni-channel customer experience. He also spent ten years at Ladbrokes PLC where he helped to create the sports betting business model in Spain which shaped the industry in the country.
Before he established his career in the digital sector, Matt originally trained as a chartered accountant before specialising in mergers and acquisitions.
Matt comments on his new role: “There is a fantastic opportunity at Celesio UK to create a compelling, innovative digital strategy that will enable us to deliver seamless, accessible care. My priority is to make this easier for our customers by offering tools that work for them. I’m looking forward to feeding off the passion and enthusiasm around the business for putting the customer first.
