AAH, the UK’s leading wholesaler and distributor of pharmaceutical and healthcare solutions has, as part of its recent rebrand and enhanced positioning, unveiled a new fleet of specially designed vans. The new PharmaVan II is now on a Network Roadshow, visiting all of the AAH branches nationwide. It arrived at AAH Belfast for its launch day in Northern Ireland, where the new technology was demonstrated to drivers.
The new vans are born out of AAH’s commitment and determination to excel in delivering an exceptional first class, reliable service, providing AAH’s customers with the best in pharmaceutical distribution so that they can meet the needs of their own communities. AAH has invested in bespoke technology to ensure its pharmacy customers receive their orders not just on time, but in the controlled conditions required.
The new fleet is markedly white displaying the revitalised eye-catching AAH logo. This does not only create stand-out vans on the road and in communities, but with the additional features, ensure that product is delivered within GDP 2013 guidelines, keeping products at their optimum temperature within the half hour delivery window AAH provides its customers.
Steve Anderson, Operations Director at Celesio UK, AAH Pharmaceuticals’ parent company, remarks: “Our AAH vans are where AAH is most visible on a daily basis and so it is important to have the very best fleet on the road. However, a successful brand is based on more than an updated look, at AAH we strive to innovate and provide the best service we can to our customers. Our new state of the art AAH fleet of PharmaVans does just that, enabling us to deliver an enhanced pharmaceutical distribution service without compromise.”
The first 400 vans will feature a photo and quote of an AAH pharmacy customer, conveying the importance AAH places in how its customers regard the service provided by them.
David Downs, Branch Manager at AAH Pharmaceuticals Belfast said, “We are proud to welcome PharmaVan II. The advanced technology supports us to lead the way in pharmaceutical distribution.”
“We had a fantastic launch day at AAH Belfast. Our drivers were provided with a valuable opportunity to discover the new features and how to use to them to support their deliveries.”
The vans are fitted with superior temperature controls allowing the cargo area and fridge, which are independent of each other, to continue operating while the driver makes their deliveries. Temperatures will automatically be logged with real time viewing by the AAH Branch and Distribution network, and an audible alarm will be triggered, and group email alert generated, if there is any deviation of temperature. The advanced technology ensures AAH customers can feel secure that their products are being delivered in a safe and suitable environment.
Commenting on his partnership with AAH, William McCaughey, Pharmacy Manager and Careway customer at Kells & Connor Pharmacy said: ‘I have strong faith in the AAH brand and all that it represents. The Careway programme has helped strengthen our business strategy, enabling me to deliver an expert service to patients and customers.’
‘Our partnership spans over 20 years and has supported us in building a reliable and recognisable pharmacy in the community.’
Steve Anderson concludes: “AAH understands the importance of always putting customers first and listening to pharmacies on what’s truly important to them. Providing an exceptional pharmaceutical distribution service is therefore pivotal to AAH.”
